Bob Flores
Founder and President, Applicology
Bob Flores is the Founder and President of Applicology Incorporated, an independent consulting firm specializing in informatics and cyber security issues. Prior to starting Applicology, Flores spent 31 years at the Central Intelligence Agency where he held various positions in the Directorate of Intelligence, Directorate of Support, and National Clandestine Service. Toward the end of his career at the CIA, he spent three years as the CIO’s Chief Technology Officer; he was responsible for ensuring that the Agency’s technology investments matched the needs of its mission. During this time, Flores was also the Agency’s representative on several government-wide information sharing committees and councils. In addition to his senior-level leadership and management positions, his career included assignments in applications programming, training and education, contract and project management, and both line and staff management roles at various levels of the Agency. He holds BS and MS degrees in Statistics from Virginia Tech. Flores is an independent Director for Appistry and sits on several advisory boards.
Bob Gourley
Founder and CTO, Crucial Point
Bob Gourley is the Editor of CTO Vision.com and is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Crucial Point LLC, a technology research and advisory firm. His first career was as a Naval Intelligence Officer, which included operational tours afloat and ashore. He was the first J2 at DoD’s JTF-CND. He is a former CTO of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and a former executive with Northrop Grumman. He was named one of the top 25 most influential CTOs in the globe by InfoWorld in 2007, and selected for AFCEA’s award for meritorious service to the intelligence community in 2008. Gourley was named by Washingtonian magazine as one of DC’s “Tech Titans” in 2009 and one of the “Top 25 Most Fascinating Communicators in Government IT” by Gov2.0 community GovFresh. Gourley holds an MS degree in Scientific and Technical Intelligence from the Naval Postgraduate School, an MS in Military Science from Marine Corps University, and an MS in Computer Science from James Madison University. He has published over 40 articles on a wide range of topics and was a contributor to “Threats in the Age of Obama” (January 2009).
Ken Tyminski
Former Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, Prudential Financial
Ken Tyminski is an independent consultant specializing in strategic advisory services for information security and risk management. In his consulting business, Tyminski focuses not only on technical infrastructure, but also on business processes and staff practices that play a crucial part in the effective implementation of any security, compliance or IT governance program.
During his 32-year career in Information Technology prior to consulting, Tyminski most recently served as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer for Prudential Financial, responsible for ensuring that the company’s business systems were architected appropriately, implemented securely, and protected from malicious activity. As CISO, he also headed the Information Security Office, which established policies and standards, and ensured that controls were in place for millions of users, thousands of branches, and hundreds of offices around the world.
Tyminski graduated from Upsala College with a BS degree in Business Administration, magna cum laude. He also earned a certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Steve Wrenn
Senior Vice President of Enterprise IT Services for CVS Caremark
Steve is currently Senior Vice President of Enterprise IT Services for CVS Caremark where he is responsible for Corporate IT and Enterprise IT operations across this $100b retail and healthcare company. Prior to joining CVS Caremark, Steve held roles at Liberty Mutual, Enterasys Networks, Cisco Systems and Hewlett-Packard.
Tim Belcher
Co-founder of Riptech and NetWitness
Tim has worked in information security for more than 20 years, providing security to Intelligence, Defense, and various Federal entities, the largest Financial Services, and Fortune companies. Tim has founded and grown to acquisition two companies, Riptech (sold to Symantec in 2002) and NetWitness (sold to RSA, the security division of EMC in 2011). Ernst & Young recognized Tim as “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2001.
John Jack
Former CEO and President of Fortify Software
John was formerly CEO and President of Fortify Software (acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 2010). He has more than 32 years of sales, marketing and executive management experience in the software industry. Prior to Fortify, John served as CEO of Covalent (acquired by VMWare), COO of The Vantive Corporation (sold to PeopleSoft) and a range of executive positions at Sybase, Inc.
Frank Swain
Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at AppDynamics
Frank is currently Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at AppDynamics. Prior to joining AppDynamics, he was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Splunk, where he built the sales organization and grew revenues from $500,000 to $35,000,000 in three years. In addition, Frank ran Worldwide Channels for Wily Technology and was Global Account Manager for Mercury Interactive.
Mercedes Westcott
Vice President of Public Sector Sales for Delphix, Corp.
Mercedes currently serves as Vice President of Public Sector Sales for Delphix, Corp. Prior to Delphix, she was Vice President of Hewlett Packard’s Federal Enterprise Security Software Sales Division. Throughout her career, she has held a number of federal sales management roles in the cyber security and database arenas including companies such as ArcSight, Microsoft and Sybase.
Bruce Brody
Former Chief Information Security Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Energy
Bruce is a retired Federal Senior Executive and the former Chief Information Security Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Energy. He has served in a variety of senior management positions in private industry since his retirement in 2006, and he is currently the Chief Cyber Security Strategist for the Paradigm Division Group of CACI.
Louis Tucker
CEO of Mission Sync LLC
Louis currently serves as the CEO of Mission Sync LLC, a national security consulting firm. Louis is a Navy SEAL reserve officer, formerly was a CIA operations officer and was a Staff Director of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
