Anup Ghosh, Ph.D., Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Anup Ghosh, Ph.D., is Founder and CEO at Invincea. Prior to founding Invincea, he was a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) where he created and managed an extensive portfolio of cyber security programs. He has previously held roles as Chief Scientist in the Center for Secure Information Systems at George Mason University and as Vice President of Research at Cigital, Inc. Anup has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles in cyber security journals. He is a frequent on-air contributor to CNN, CNBC, NPR and Bloomberg TV. A number of major media outlets carry his commentaries on cyber security issues including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes, Associated Press, FoxNews and USA Today. He was awarded the NSA’s Frank Rowlett Trophy for Individual Contributions in 2005 and the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service for his contributions while at DARPA. He is currently a member of the Naval Studies Board and the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board, informing the future of American cyber-defenses.
Dana Duffy, Chief Financial Officer
Dana Duffy has over 15 years of experience as a proven finance, accounting and executive leader in early and mid-stage companies. She most recently served as CFO for NetWitness Corporation, which merged with RSA Security and was previously with CareFusion, which merged with Cardinal Health. She holds a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association.
Christopher Smith, VP of Worldwide Sales
Christopher Smith is an experienced and proven sales leader with a passion and track record for building great teams. With over 20 years of executive sales experience, Christopher believes that “Success begins in understanding how to solve complex industry problems in a simple, meaningful way that clients openly embrace.” He most recently served as Eastern Vice President of Sales at ArcSight, the global leader in SIEM. He helped drive sales to over $300M, which resulted in a successful IPO and ultimately a sale to HP for $1.5B. Before ArcSight, Christopher managed strategic account sales at Mercury, the global leader in Business Technology Optimization. His near-9 year tenure helped drive sales to $1B, which resulted in a successful IPO and sale to HP for $4.5B. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a minor in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Alan Keister, VP of Engineering
Alan Keister has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry in roles ranging from product development to network operations. Before joining Invincea, Alan was VP of Engineering at GridPoint where he directed the construction of smart grid technologies for energy conservation and efficient electricity management. Much of Alan’s career was at America Online (AOL), where he assisted in the expansion of AOL from a small company into an Internet giant. As Vice President of Technology, he oversaw AOL’s Instant Messaging (AIM), social networking and community products. He led a global engineering organization whose technology served more than 100 million customers. Prior to AOL, Alan worked on a wide range of government and commercial projects. He holds an MS in Software Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Computer Science from Ohio University.
Stephen Ward, VP of Marketing
Stephen Ward brings to Invincea more than 16 years of progressive Marketing, Sales and Alliance Management expertise. In his role as Vice President of Marketing for Invincea he is responsible for all aspects of the company’s go-to-market strategy. Prior to joining Invincea, Stephen held a number of critical roles across the Information Security, IT Services and IT Outsourcing industries. His most recent role was as Director of Marketing for NetWitness, and prior to that he held roles as Assistant Vice President of Marketing for Satyam Computer Services, and as Director of Market Development and Alliances at SAVVIS. Stephen joined Invincea in October, 2010. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Management from George Mason University.
Christopher Greamo, VP of Research
Christopher Greamo brings more than 15 years of software and cybersecurity research and development experience, including nearly 10 years focused on government funded advanced technology research. Christopher manages Invincea Labs and its team of cybersecurity researchers with responsibility for executing and growing its portfolio of contract funded research projects for customers such as DARPA, ARO, and others. Prior to joining Invincea, Christopher was Chief Architect for BAE Systems’ Leading Edge Network Operations and Security Center – a technology development and demonstration lab focused on maturing advanced cyber security and cyber warfare solutions. Prior to that, Christopher served as Director for Computer Network Defense Products at BAE Systems Advanced Information Technologies’ Cyber Operations and Networking division. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from MIT.
Gabe Martinez, VP of Client Services
Gabe Martinez has more than 15 years in the security industry. Gabe has served as a consultant, instructor, engineer and thought leader. He has a wide range of experience from designing and implementing security architectures to performing risk assessments for government and classified environments, Fortune 500, financial services, utility companies, telecommunications, and health care companies. Prior to Invincea, he served as Vice President, Customer Success Organization at NetWitness, which was acquired by RSA in 2011. There he built a global services organization from the ground up that delivered a world class customer experience, while facilitating rapid product growth and development and supporting sales efforts. At ArcSight (now part of HP), Gabe was a founding member of the company’s renowned Professional Services and Customer Success organizations. In a career of many firsts, prior to ArcSight, Gabe also helped to architect the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) program at Riptech, which was later acquired by Symantec.
